Laura Thayer grew up as a journey lover and nomad, residing in 8 diverse states prior to making the leap to expat daily life in southern Italy in 2008. She attended St. John's School in Annapolis, Maryland, where she realized how much she loves living in a sailing city and studying languages (Ancient Greek & French). Graduate college pulled her back again to the Midwest, exactly where she finished a Masters in Artwork History at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. In the course of a fateful holiday getaway on the Amalfi Coast, she fell in really like with southern Italian architecture and 1 really special tour guidebook. She now lives near another sailing city, the seaside village of Amalfi in which she works as a freelance writer.
